Sapropel (of Greece words saprós – rotten and pelós – silt) – is the silt sediments of fresh water lakes. Sapropel has large quantities of organic and mineral substances, vitamins (B1, B12, B3, B6) and enzymes.
Sapropel has good absorption properties. Sapropel bounds soluble materials and protect it from extraction.
Sapropel is the cleanest natural fertilizer, therefore sapropel is recommended to use for ecological farming.
Also, sapropel can be used as fodder additive and raw material for cosmetic industry.
